What Did “ I “ Say?

As celebrations abound,

I know many of us decorated Christmas trees

and such making them all pretty and nice.

But have you ever thought about why a tree? Why do we adorn the tree with light and trinkets?

So lets look at the tree. The history of the tree.

Did you know in times past, that the Romans use to worship the trees? The had a GOD names ESUS

That was supposedly represented by the tree, (vegetation) and when they made sacrifices to this “god” they would

Hang them from the tree.

They hung the sacrifices from the tree….

Wow, right? (I know)…

Did you also know that the wooden cross that we use as a symbol for the savior was an alternate to the usage of the tree? Meaning, the LORDS son was REALLY hung from the tree, they substituted the wooden cross as a reference.

What?

If you look in your bibles: you will find what the LORD says about this.

Jeremiah 10 King James Version (KJV)

10 Hear ye the word which the Lord speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:

2 Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

He said do not do as the heathens, that celebrate him with trees, decked in GOLD and Silver. (or no other color for that matter) He said no matter what they look like, who do it.. as some will be highly esteemed that will do the opposite.

Let us hear what he says about that wooden cross.

Isaiah 44 (the whole chapter)

14 He say they cut down the trees,

15 Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.

17 And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.

19 And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?

He said they cut down the trees and cook, on it. Bake bread, warm themselves by the fire,

And he said with the SCRAPS of the wood, they make HIM, an abomination… those “wooden crosses”

Help us LORD,

I know that was a lot: and I’m praying for your strength.

But as I mentioned before.

The LORDs SON…. The LORDs SON, The LORDS SON.

The one with whom we are supposed to be celebrating.

Was hung from a tree….

Let’s look back again in scripture.

Acts 5 30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.

ACTS 10 39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

ACTS CHP 13 29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulcher.

So why would the LORD, want us to have a “Christmas tree” to celebrate his Son?

They hung him on a tree.

He also says we should make NOTHING in his image, not a cross, nor a picture: NOTHING.

Nothing with gold or silver… those necklaces:

Exodus 20 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4Thou shalt not make unto thee ANY graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth

ROMANS 11 29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device

30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

He said he knew what they THOUGHT they were doing…He said in times past he winked at it (laughed at it) … Now he’s saying turn away from it.. to Repent from it!

He actually said to burn them with fire:

Deuteronomy

7: 25The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therin: for it is an abomination to the Lord thy GOD

HE said were not supposed to have, worship, celebrate, ANY of IT !!!!

At least HE IS TELLING THOSE OF US, WHO BELONG TO HIM…

Now, I KNOW a lot of us, do (Did) not know this… The LORD KEPT it that way:

So he can reveal HIMSELF !!

Through himself … and his word…

Ezekiel 38 23 : Thus I Will magnify myself and sanctify myself and will be known in the eyes of many nations and they shall know that

I AM THE LORD.

Isaiah 44

6 Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts;

I AM the first, and

I Am the last;

and beside me there is no God.

7 And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them.

8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.

9 They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed.

10 Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?

11 Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed: and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together.

The LORD said do not be afraid of the signs (Truth) from Heaven.

May the GLORY of the LORD, be revealed unto you.
